The new children’s app “WizUp” combines education and entertainment

ORLANDO, Florida, July 14, 2021 (The Globe Newswire) — Parents Alim and Natasha Kanji are no strangers to the difficulty of watching time; Frustrated with the lack of application options to keep their children entertained, safe and engaged in learning, they have already created – Whiz Up.

The new WizUp app, launching today, combines education with entertainment, offering parents a solution that finally makes them feel satisfied — not guilty — about screen time.

Created for kids ages 2-11, WizUp integrates educational questions into popular kids programs to ensure kids learn and have fun while using their devices. WizUp gives kids pop-up questions while watching a video, and pauses the content until the kid answers the question. WizUp gives parents a way to organically test kids and reduce the “summer slide,” and it gives kids the confidence they need to help them excel in the classroom.

“more than 70% Many parents with children under 11 are concerned about screen time, and when you add to that the stress that comes with constantly monitoring content to make sure it’s appropriate, it can become overwhelming for many families,” says Natasha Kanji, co-founder of WizUp. “WizUp is a win-win because it allows parents to make screen time safe and educational, and turns any video into an educational adventure that keeps kids engaged.”

As full-time working parents, Alim and Natasha realized that screen time was imperative to keeping their children entertained and occupied while they were on work calls or while they were trying to get dinner at the table. The couple tried many of today’s leading educational apps but couldn’t find anything to keep their children, ages 6 and 3, occupied. Wanting to prevent them from becoming “screen zombies,” Alim and Natasha set out to create a new app to fill the void, an app that made screen time educational and fun while alleviating all of their safety concerns.

The WizUp library contains hundreds of questions for every age group designed to support the school curriculum and teach grade-level skills in areas such as math, spelling, punctuation, and reading comprehension. The questions are formatted to reflect most semester exams such as fill in the blank, multiple choice, greater than/less than, and comparison/contrast.

Parents have complete control over every aspect of WizUp. After creating their child’s profile, parents choose what content the child can access while using the app, removing the stress of constantly needing to monitor what their children are watching. Parents also determine the duration and timing of each session with the frequency and timing of questions.

Additional WizUp Features:

  • Up to five profiles per account, each customizable based on the child’s age and grade level
  • A content library of thousands of parent-approved, child-friendly shows and videos from platforms such as PBS Kids and Netflix Jr. And Marvel HQ and LEGO via live broadcast through the WizUp app
  • Easy-to-read reports detailing the content offered, questions answered, and the child’s progress, giving parents an effective way to identify areas for improvement
  • Ability to create customized incentives and rewards to motivate children

WizUp is compatible with iOS and Android and is now available for download at App Store and on google apps With a 30-day free trial for new users, followed by a subscription fee of $4.99 per month.
