Last week saw Lawrence wrap its North American Sounds of Summer Tour with MisterWives and Winnetka Bowling League with a penultimate homecoming show as part of the SummerStage concert series. The predictably high-energy Lawrence show featured a healthy smattering of the group’s expanding catalog including favorites “Freckles”, “The Heartburn Song”, “Do You Wanna Do Nothing With Me? ”, and more. The group also squeezed in a number of covers including Wings‘ “Live and Let Die”, *NSYNC‘s “It’s Gonna Be Me”, and an encore blowout of Whitney Houston‘s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)” with MisterWives.
