2022 Randolph County Fair events planned | News, Sports, Jobs

BEVERLY — The Randolph County Fair will kick off nine consecutive days of fun and activities at 4-H Camp Pioneer on Saturday, Aug. 20.

Opening day will begin with the 4-H/FFA Showmanship Contest for swine, beef, goat, lamb, rabbit and poultry at 9 am There will be a Corn Hole Tourament at 1 pm followed by a show from the Cincinnati Circus at 2 pm

A buyer’s reception will be held at 3 pm on the same day, followed by another show by the Cincinnati Circus at 4 pm The 4-H/FFA Livestock Sale will be at 5 pm and a final show from the Cincinnati Circus will be at 6 pm

The fair’s second day — Sunday, Aug. 21 — will begin with the Randolph County Fair Children’s Pageant (ages 0-4) at 2 pm The Cincinnati Circus will have three shows that day at 2 pm, 4 pm, and 6 pm

The Randolph County Fair Children’s Pageant for children ages 5-12 is the only event scheduled for Monday, Aug. 22.

The following day, Tuesday, Aug. 23, the line-up for the Randolph County Fair Parade will begin at 6 pm on Edmundton Avenue in Beverly. The Parade will get underway at 7 pm

The first day for carnival rides will be on Wednesday, Aug. 24 from 6 pm to 10 pm The Produce/Field Crop/Culinary & Crafts Exhibits open the same evening at 5 pm and the Cast Iron Cook off is at 6 pm ATV Races will cap off an exciting day at 7 pm

On Thursday, Aug. 25, the Fair will host Senior Day on 4-H Camp Pioneer’s Upper Campus. There will be free admission for Senior Day activities from 10 am until 4 pm

The Produce/Field Crop/Culinary & Crafts Exhibits will open at 5 pm and there will be an Open Sheep Show at 5:30 pm The Tough Truck and UTV Challenge will be at 6 pm by an Open Swine Show at 7 pm Carnival rides followed will be open from 6 pm until 10 pm

From 10 am until 2 pm on Friday, Aug. 25, the fair will hold Educational Day for fourth-grade students on the Upper Campus of 4-H Camp. Gracie Metheny will perform music at 5:30 pm and the Open Feeder and Heifer Show is at 6 pm

The Kids Mutton Bustin’ event is at 7 pm followed by the Rodeo and Calf Scramble at 7:30 pm The Produce/Field Crop/Culinary & Crafts Exhibits will open at 5 pmand the carnival will be open from 6 pm to 11 pm

The Color Run/Walk will be at 9 am on Saturday, Aug. 27, followed by the opening of the Produce/Field Crop/Culinary & Crafts Exhibits, Homemade Craft Show, Heritage Activities, and WV Cutting Horse Association display all at 10 am

There will be a Bridle Exhibition and Kids Farm Olympics at 1 pm The Greased Pig competition will be at 2 pm, followed by a Hot Dog Eating Contest at 2:30 pm The Pet Show will get underway at 3 pm, while Michael Bonnett and River’s Edge perform at 4:30 pm

The action will continue on Saturday with Cow Patty Bingo at 5 pm and Kids Pedal Tractor contest (6 and under) at 5 pm The Tractor Pull competition will be at 6 pm and the day will be capped off by a Firework Display at 9 pm The carnival rides will be open from noon until 5 pm and from 6 pm to 11 pm

On the final day of the fair, Sunday, Aug. 28, the carnival rides will be open from noon to 5 pm There will be church service at 10:30 am followed by the Mud Bogs at 1 pm
